Assessment 1: Case study analysis

Requirements	In groups of two or three students, based on the analysis of the case study entitled Kutesmart: The Digital transformation of apparel Manufacturing, you are required to answer the following questions:Discuss in detail the development of the business model with particular attention to development of mass customisation including clearly discussing the business drivers. (10%)Discuss in detail the implications of the development of the business model with particular attention to development of mass customisation on the development of information technology, data management and knowledge management in the business. Requirements	Individually, you are required to analyse the case entitled Kutesmart: The Digital transformation of apparel Manufacturing and produce a report that covers the following: Provide a critical assessment of the digital business transformation to date including from a supply chain perspective. (10%) Looking forward, recommend future courses of action the organisation should adopt to further enhance the digital transformation particularly supply chains. (13%)Discuss the challengers that the organisation faced with the digital transformation and what strategies were adopted to address the challengers. Critic the strategies adopted and suggest other strategies that could have been adopted explaining why you recommend them. (13%)Discuss societal, environmental, data security and privacy issues that the organisation needed to consider associated with the digital transformation. Detail instructions

Assignments must be typed using one and half spacing. Font size must be 12 Arial or New Times Roman.

Use headings and subheadings

Reference all ideas, diagrams, quotes and other material taken from others using the APA (version 7) format.

Diagrams are best adapted to the case (you still need to reference the original source), reproducing generic diagrams is of minimal value.

The number of words in your assignment (excluding refs and words directly associated with diagrams) must be noted at the end of your assignment. The word count has flexibility of +/- 10%.

Do not repeat large pieces of factual information from the case.

For Assignment 1 only ONE student in the group to submit the assignment. All three names (as listed on the roll) and ID’s MUST be on the assignment.

For Assignment 1 the table at the end of this document ‘Team Member Contribution’ MUST be completed and submitted with the assignment.

Plagiarism may result in a zero mark and other disciplinary action.

It is expected that you will need to provide good quality diagrams to communicate your answers effectively for some sections in the report. You may choose to use Visio or a similar tool.

A 5% mark penalty (deduction) will be applied for each day or part day late.

Failure to follow the instructions above may result in mark penalties (deductions).

You may need to make some assumptions about the business or other practical issues that are not explicit in the case. Please state all assumptions you make.

You will need to demonstrate your understanding of the material covered in the course and apply the course concepts to the relevant case.

Do not give generic or general answers; your answers must be specific to the case. Your answers must be in depth.

NOTE: When you are asked to critically assess your suggestions you are required to assess what you have recommended, discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the answers you have provided. This is a key part of your assessments.
