Coursework Overview
In this coursework, you are tasked with analyzing the aeroelastic characteristics of an aircraft of your choice, whether it be civil, military, or acrobatic. Specifically, you will calculate and present the divergence speed, reversal speed, and flutter speed of the selected aircraft. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
Aircraft Selection:
Choose an aircraft (any type, civil, defence, acrobatic, etc.) that has readily available information from reliable sources.
Include clear images or schematics of the selected aircraft that are relevant to the calculations.
Provide essential information about the aircraft, including its application, service history, capacity, weight, limit load, and certification highlights.
Cite sources/references clearly that can be found by someone else (if source is private and only available to you, please include in appendix labelled by confidential)
Structure of Your Assignment:
Begin with a description of the chosen aircraft, including images, schematics, and dimensions.

Clearly state the aim and objectives of your assignment. (0.5 page)
Elaborate on supporting information, properties, and data related to the aircraft. (1-2 pages)
Perform theoretical calculations for divergence, reversal, and flutter speeds. (2-3 pages)
Discuss the calculated speeds and compare them with actual designated speeds (if available).
(1 page)
Propose design modifications to enhance the aircraft’s speed characteristics. (1 page)
Conclude your assignment with a summary of findings. (0.5 page)
Include a reference section for citing sources and references used. (0.5 page)
Appendices may be added if necessary.
Writing Style:
Use past tense consistently throughout your report.
Figures should not be placed in the Appendix; include them in the relevant sections.
Properly reference any figures, theories, or data obtained from external sources.
Ensure that your report is typed, not handwritten, and that all images and graphs are clear and legible.
Proofread your report for errors before submission.
Provide detailed explanations for the selection of theoretical formulations and simplifying assumptions.
Please note that the length of your report, excluding any appendices, should not exceed 10 pages. This coursework is an opportunity to showcase your understanding of aeroelasticity principles, so approach it with diligence and attention to detail.
