Assessed Coursework
The assessed coursework assignment has two components that are equally weighted, i.e., each is worth 50% of your final mark for r the course.1] An essay of 1300 words that addresses the following question:
How should we conceptualise a photograph and what are the implications for how they can be used by sociologists The word limit for the essay allows for +/- 10%, i.e. in the range 1170-1430 words.
2] A critical reflection of 1200 words on the practical element in this course, as detailed below.
Provide a critical reflection on the value of the photo-elicitation method as a tool for sociological enquiry based on your experien nce of conducting photo-elicitation interviews as part of this course. The word limit for the critical reflection allows for +/- 10%, i.e. in the range 1080-1320 words.
Note: You must include an accurate word count on the front page of each of your written components. Failure to do so will lead t to an automatic 2 mark deduction. Your word count should include all text in the essay (including any footnotes, tables and so on) but does not include the bibliography.
You must combne both assignments into one document and submit these together.
The deadline for the assessed coursework is 12 noon Thursday 14 December 2023
