1. QUESTION/ DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY
This is a group project assignment. It is comprised of two related elements:
The first element requires each group to prepare an investment and valuation equity research report on a non-financial FTSE350 UK company. The second
element requires each group to prepare a brief peer-evaluation report on a draft (i.e., pre-submission) version of another group’s investment and valuation equity research report.
Your final submission must include three documents:
A. Your written research report. (MS Word file)
B. A separate Excel spreadsheet file that contains all your workings, forecasts, and modelling.
C. Your meeting log and reflective statement document. (MS Word file)

The detailed requirements and guidance for this assignment are provided in a
separate document on Moodle – you must read this document before commencing your group project work.

2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR GROUP ASSIGNMENTS

Students are encouraged to contact each other and self-organise into groups of 4. Students who have not formed their group and signed up on Moodle by Wednesday 24th of January 2024, will be randomly allocated into groups.

Each group must maintain a detailed group meeting log and reflective statement document. The document must include:
1) The date of each meeting and the names of students who attended each meeting.
2) A summary of main points that were discussed at each meeting.
3) A summary of tasks that group members have agreed on and allocated to each member of the group at each meeting, for completion before the next meeting.
4) Information about any additional matters/problems arising, e.g., non-
participation/non-contribution by some group members, disagreements in
discussions, issues with communication between group members, or failure by some group members to deliver on previously agreed tasks.
5) Upon completion of the final version of your group project research report,
and before the final submission of the group project, each group member
must include in the document a personal reflective statement (approximately 200 words). In your personal reflective statement you must summarise:
a. what you have personally learned from working on this research project b. how you contributed to the group report, i.e., what specific tasks you

have performed
c. any problems/challenges that you encountered whilst working with
peers, and what you did to resolve these problems/challenges.
It is essential that your meeting log and reflective statement document documents your group’s work from the very first through to the very last group meeting.

It is recommended that the group creates shared (online) documents for each of the above three elements (i.e., the report, the peer-review report, the spreadsheet and
the meeting log), to work collaboratively on the shared documents. For example, you can use Microsoft Teams to create a ‘team space’ for your group where you can
store and work collaboratively on your files, and also use it as a within-group
communication device. Or you can use any other safe and reliable platform (e.g., OneDrive) that allow you do work collaboratively on the same files.
