Task:
Identify between four and six common project time and cost management challenges (2-3 each for time and cost
management), and describe how an effective time and cost management plan can resolve these challenges.
Name a project that has time overrun and a project that has a cost overrun and state the reasons causing the
delay or cost overrun.
Scope:
This assignment will assess your understanding in respect to the scheduling and cost management of projects
Criteria by which your assignment will be marked:
1. Evidence of having understood the schedule and cost related challenges in projects.
2. Demonstrate a good understanding of the characteristics of a sound cost and schedule management plan.
3. Evidence of additional reading and referencing these readings in the discussions, A minimum of 6 references
are required. Two must be from journal articles from 2015-2024; two can be from textbooks and two project
names can be from last fve years in public domain.
4. State principles as well as details, not just reproducing PMBOK and the course slides!
5. journal articles can be sourced from Google Scholar
Assignment Submission Guideline:
1. This is an individual assignment.
2. Assignment must be typed using font “Times New Roman” with font size 12 and double spacing.
3. The front page must clearly specify the assignment title, the student name and lD.
4. Assignment length should be within 10% of the recommended word limit (1000 words).
5. References can be provided in any style, but they must be consistent and complete.
6. To submit your assignment, navigate to MyUni online portal where your course and Turnitin link are located.
7. Your submission is worth 20% of your total mark for this course.
