Guidelines for writing the report are below
Report requirements: 1,700 words (excluding executive summary and bibliography,. You have 10% leeway with the wordcount.
Contribution to fnal mark – 20%
Guidelines for writing a human rights report
1. Select a country
. Select a country that you wilreport its human rights situation.This should be a real country,and the human rights situation you report should be real not hypothetical.
2. Select a target for the report.

3. Structure of the report
1. Executive summary
e A typicalhuman riehtsreport should provide an executve summary,which provides a brief oveniew of the report’s main fndings, methodology and recommendations
。 The executive summary should not be more than 250 words)
2. Brief introduction
3.Context
The context mayincdude a descipton of the govermment responasbl forthehuman ights iolatons inthe report.this mayincudethe countny’s govemance system,recent policaland economic developments etc
. It should be sufcient enough to give someone who does not know the country a good idea ofthe past and recent politcal,economic and security situation in the countny.
4. Human Rights Violations
。 Each violation, e.g., torture, violations of freedom of expression, should be in its own paragraph.
e Provide details of the rieht that was violated, howit was violated, who the yictims and peretrators were, and what was done about the yiolations
Provide suffcient evidence and support, including pictures, if you can get them
e This section should contain details of 3-4 human rights violations
5. Actions taken
e. Provide an overview of institutons authorities and regional and internatonalinstitutons that have taken actiop regarding the viglatons

6.Recommendations
。 Provide recommendations to the institution that the report is targeted at
