2:00pm – 25/02/2025: Infographic: Final Submission Deadline and Class Presentation
2:00pm – 25/03/2025: Report: Final Submission Deadline
Requirement: Follow the instructions below:
1. Please select a subject from the Coursework section on Moodle. Topic selection will
open at 2:00 PM on 04/02/2025 and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis,
with up to five students allowed per topic. If you’re unsure which topic to choose or
have a specific topic in mind, please email me at m.baghdadi@ucl.ac.uk. If you miss
the deadline for any reason, contact me as soon as possible.
2. For students who have selected the same topic, it is advisable to communicate with
each other and discuss the subject and materials to ensure that each student covers
a distinct aspect of the topic. However, please note that this is optional and does
not imply collaboration on completing the tasks, as this is an individual exercise and
collaboration is not permitted.
3. Conduct a literature search using resources such as the internet, libraries, journals
(e.g., IEEE Xplore), periodicals, and other academic databases.
Hint: Utilize tools like Google Scholar and Web of Science for your research. Please
note that free access to journal papers is available only through university computers.
4. Analyze your findings from the literature and conduct a critical review to develop a
comprehensive understanding of the chosen technology. Your review may include three
key aspects:
1
Historical Context – The background and evolution of the technology.
Current Practices/Designs – Existing implementations, methodologies, and trends.
Future Developments – Potential advancements and emerging innovations.
Additionally, your paper should include relevant theoretical concepts and design ex planations.
5. Write a conference paper based on your findings using the provided template avail able on Moodle. While you are encouraged to use this template, you may choose an
alternative format if preferred.
Please note: The page limit is 4 (excluding references) and may include both text
and images. The final submission deadline is 2:00 PM on 25/03/2025 via Moodle.
This report accounts for 25% of your final grade.
6. Design an infographic that summarizes your key findings on a single sheet of paper.
Infographics are a visual tool commonly used to present key insights in a clear and
engaging way. A scaled-down example is provided below for reference.
The final submission is due by 2:00 PM on 25/02/2025 via Moodle. Additionally,
students have the opportunity to present their infographic in class from this week if
they prefer. This task contributes 10% of the final mark.

in the UCL Academic Manual here.
2. If you experience an illness or other Extenuating Circumstances (EC) which affect
your academic performance or prevent you from submitting your work by the pub lished deadline, you must refer to the Extenuating Circumstances procedure in the
