Question: I live in Queensland, and would like to know if I can pretend that the school is located in Queensland and link to the Queensland curriculum documents and framework and the Queensland Student Learning and Wellbeing Framework
Answer: Yes, please feel free to pretend the school is in another Australian state and refer to your own state’s curriculum framework and documents or the Australian curriculum framework and documents.

Question: Is the word count for assessment 2 including or excluding references
Answer: The word count for Assessment 2 is 2500 words (+/– 10%). The reference list is not included in the word count. In-text citations are included in the word count.

Question: Do we just pick one framework and justify why we chose that, or do we share research about many to compare and justify why we chose it
Answer: You need to compare and contrast several different frameworks and strategies to show that you are aware of the many wellbeing frameworks and strategies available.
Then recommend one framework and 2 – 3 strategies and use a variety of literature (peer reviewed journal articles, academic textbooks, government websites, LMS resources) to justify your choice. Please include 8 – 16 references including from some LMS and some you have sourced yourself. You should also refer to Ben or Liz’s case study in justifying your choice (explain why your selected framework and strategies are most appropriate for Ben or Liz).

Question: Do we need to do assessment 2 on both Ben and Liz or just one
Answer: Choose either Ben or Liz (just one, not both).

Question: How should I spell wellbeing Do you have a preference for well-being or wellbeing
Answer: I will accept either spelling, but you must be consistent throughout your assessment.

Question: I uploaded my assessment recently and it gave me a Turnitin ID but it didn’t show a similarity percentage, am I doing something wrong
Answer: Sometimes the Turnitin report can take 2 – 3 hours to show, please check again as it may be there now.

Question: I have a referencing question on our oral presentation and PPT. When referencing and citing others work, is it sufficient to have the reference on the slide that we are speaking to, or do we need to verbally acknowledge the reference as well
Answer: It will be sufficient to have an in-text reference on the slide and a reference list at the end of the PowerPoint.

Question: I am a little confused about the Assignment 2 word count. Are you saying that a 10 min speech is approx 2500 words
Answer: Yes an oral presentation of 10 minutes is equivalent to 2500 words (that is the approximate number of words you will speak). You will not write every word that you speak into your PowerPoint presentation, just the key points which you will discuss and expand upon.

Question: In the recommendations of a wellbeing framework for the school are you saying that in the presentation you can say I recommend applying Perma or becoming a positive education school If this a staff meeting scenario I am confused as to how you can suggest a whole school approach which would involve retraining and whole school buy in and a huge expense etc!! And do we assume there is no wellbeing framework in existence already Or are we just focusing on certain strategies within a framework – like saying lets get all students to do the strengths survey or saying maybe having daily pod classes to develop better peer relationships like the Circle framework…
Answer: In the presentation, pretend that you are the school wellbeing leader and that the school doesn’t currently have a wellbeing framework and that you are making a recommendation as to a wellbeing framework and strategies that the school should adopt. This is a hypothetical situation; you do not need to discuss the costs or the professional development requirements.

Question: If we are using Chat GPT to gather articles/ literature for our assignment, is there a specific way for this to be referenced
Answer: You can use Chat GPT to help you quickly identify relevant articles.
You will then go back to the La Trobe library site to search (and read) each article.
Please use APA7 referencing for each article that you cite in your PowerPoint presentation.

Question: Are you expecting to see images within the power point presentation. If so, do these get referenced on each slide or in the last reference slide
Answer: PowerPoints usually do contain images so yes, I would expect to see a few to make the presentation more visually interesting and engaging. Use APA7 in-text and reference list referencing for each image.
